Show a map that traces the route that Lewis and Clark took to the Pacific Ocean. Have students write down implications that
this journey had on the future United States.
Suggestions for Using this Resource as Part of a Lesson

Give the Document Analysis worksheet to students to help organize information from documents 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 9. Students will
be placed in groups to work on one document. They will report their conclusions to the entire class including the most important
points from the document that others in the class should know about.
