Teaching Tips:
"Do Now" Suggestion
- What makes a leader? Read and discuss Bacon's effectiveness. Compare Bacon and Berkley's leadership. Did they possess different qualities than leaders today?
- In small groups find evidence to support each given cause (one per group). Report to the class, and then discuss which had the most effect and why.
- Compare the causes of the rebellion to those of the American Revolution? Was the rebellion a possible foreshadow of the Colonists' revolts against England?
