These projectile points, known as Clarkville points, were found at the Monasukapanough archaeological dig. As the scale in the picture indicates, the points are small, with an average width of approximately 1.5 cm. Most of the points are made of quartz, a mineral found in abundance in the area of the site. The darker projectile point furthest to the right is indicative of other points found in Virginia.

This chronology of projectile points shows Clarksville points near the top of the chronology and dating to approximately 1700. This date is later than generally assumed for the migration of the Monacans out of Albemarle County, and away from the Monasukapanough site.
