Educational Web Companion

The Educational Companion serves as an interactive teaching tool that complements the student and teacher experience at the Center. We have created a history lab online where educators may analyze the Civil War with assistance from numerous lead historians and scholars.

The Companion offers educators and users an opportunity to preview the information contained within the Center to better prepare themselves and their students for their visits on location. The Educational Companion to the American Civil War Center at Historic Tredegar (ACWC) contains a number of sections to further your understanding of the American Civil War and the American Civil War Center. Each section contains rich video information concerning the Civil War and questions that may serve as discussion or writing prompts.
