We are in the process of interviewing Northern WIMS women. We offer a few reminiscences and we hope that we will hear more from the WIMS families in the North.
- After the teams had all returned from Mississippi, WIMS lifted the ban on publicity. The NCNW issued a press release explaining the goals and activities of the project. The article was disseminated by UPI and carried in newspapers across the country.

As the black WIMS staff member in Jackson in 1964, Wilson met and shepherded all the Northern black women during their trips to Mississippi.
